One of the features that I like about the newly announced Sony A57 is the Clear Image Zoom. Sony mentioned that they are using a new technology the called By Pixel Super Resolution being used on their Cybershot lines.
"By analyzing images pixel-by-pixel (and the correlation between adjacent pixels), patterns are categorised via a Sony-developed database, with image processing optimised accordingly" - Sony
